DIE WOLLNYS: Wir feiern 15-jähriges Jubiläum mit spannenden Aktionen für unser Publikum.
For 15 years, Die Wollnys – Eine schrecklich große Familie! has been a fixture on RTLZWEI, and the milestone anniversary was celebrated in true Wollny fashion: loud, loving, and unapologetically chaotic.

To mark the occasion, the extended family split into two teams for a high-energy anniversary quiz. At the helm stood matriarch Silvia Wollny herself, quizzing her “sweet 15” with questions drawn from a decade and a half of unforgettable moments. The score quickly tightened to a nail-biting 1:1, setting the tone for a battle fueled by pride, nostalgia, and plenty of teasing.
One of the first throwback questions took everyone back to 2015, when the Wollnys founded a band in Neuss. What was its name—and who was in it? Silvana buzzed in at lightning speed, confidently declaring the group was called “Cat, Fish and Space,” featuring Flo, Peter, and Lavi. The studio erupted in laughter as family members debated the name—“Catfish Space? Catfisch in Space?”—with Harald chiming in that he’d rather take on management duties than perform. In the end, the answer was close but incomplete; a missing band member cost crucial points.
The quiz blended absurd humor with pure Wollny authenticity. Silvia, introducing herself tongue-in-cheek as a “certified carpet tester,” asked which body part one should use to test whether a carpet is suitable for the bedroom. The correct answer? The knee. Demonstrating with gusto, she explained that if you drag your knee across the surface and don’t get friction burns, the carpet passes. Her children’s horrified reactions only made the moment more iconic.
Then came a question about a 2018 camping trip near the Dutch border. Which object sparked a full-blown chase across the campsite? The answer: a forbidden mobile phone and its charging cable. Silvia had banned phones, only to discover the kids secretly charging theirs in the restroom. Chaos ensued, including Lavinia fleeing on a bicycle. The story, replayed in a clip, showed exactly why the Wollnys remain reality TV gold.
The pandemic years weren’t spared either. In 2020, Silvia crafted a DIY face mask for Harald—out of a diaper. While the family groaned, she demonstrated the surprisingly practical design, looping it around the ears with triumphant flair.

Beauty treatments Wollny-style also resurfaced. Back in 2012, Flo gave Peter a homemade facial involving slices of bologna sausage. Supposedly rich in “animal fats” to smooth the skin, the concoction smelled terrible but provided endless entertainment. Peter endured it like a champ, even as the family howled with laughter.
Other memories included a nerve-wracking backward water ride at a Dutch amusement park, a houseboat mutiny in 2016 where one unlucky man ended up overboard, and Silvia’s hilariously explicit banana “demonstration” meant to educate her daughters about male anatomy—much to everyone’s embarrassment.
By the final question—what color blouse Silvia wore on her first date with Harald—the tension was palpable. “Dark blue!” came the shout. A photo confirmed it. Victory.
With an 8:7 finish, Team Girls Power clinched the trophy. Silvia, proud and emotional, declared herself proud of her DNA. After 11 children, countless adventures, and 15 years on television, one thing remains clear: the Wollnys are more than a reality family—they’re a phenomenon built on loyalty, love, and the kind of unfiltered honesty audiences can’t resist.
